Firts of all, I would really like to say, again, I'm sorry for not beign around here so often lately.
It's hard to me 'cause it really feels like a let some really good people down. And the plague of impatience really does a nunber on that, and makes me unable to look at what the amazing people around here are creating(I should thank the Okami game for that...)
Anyway, I'm finally out of my former job now, standing in a moment of stillness and unsureness I know won't last, as the good part of having more time to myself.
But I'm taking this moement to rest. Iwas hoping to take this day to paint something new, but I got a really bad flue and I don't want to be sneezing around my work.
So, I just uploaded some of my Sculpey pieces today, and renamed their folder to Ratamahatta.
That's due to the videoclip of the sepultura's song, Ratamahatta, that featured dolls made of clay that had a rudimentar look, just like my works do.
The one's in the clip are actually more resembled of the Vitalino's dolls, works of a master craftsman of Brazil whose legacy lives on on local artists of the Northeast of the country, which are clay dolls that approach floklorical figures and regional characters, and that have a pretty simple, rudimentar look, but have a great folklorical and cultural value.
My works, surely, have no folklorical or regional culture inclination, but their unrefined look made me trigger that connection.
Anyway, I hope to be adding more work soon.
See Ya!

Brazil
I was a kid at kidergarten when I first saw pictures of works of great masters, like Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet, Miró, and back then, I was fascinated.
One day the teacher there asked us to choose one picture and paint something like it, and I picked one of Miró's, basically an orange backgroung with a black line crossing it, and it took me the whole afternoon to do it, and poorly, may I say.
But I remember how during that time, all time in the world wouldn't seem enough. How I wanted my brush to stretch further, out of the paper, to place the world beneath it. Since then, drawing and painting has been a passion I hold dear, and something I try myself at since I can remember beign me.

Thanks man, and sorry for awnsering so long after. Matter of fact you were one of the few that seemed to remember, or care to say something, other than my aunt, my dad, an A.T. and a leech of a sellsman over the phone.
